Am bored... Finding out my results for my english internal tomorrow! Am so excited to finally find out what I got! Also going to be a good day because it's the last day of term 1! YAY!!! School's out for two weeks! :) In jap, (we had a double) we played a version of "snap" which involved him reading out a word and us raising our hands and earning points for the correct answer. Anna and I won, with me knowing some of the answers through language perfect. Huh. I guess the site does have merits after all. We also did a crossword on the whiteboard, which the sensei drew up. It was quite fun, and we completed it without difficulty. Lunch was alright, with me eating an egg sandwich to get some protein. Micaela wasn't back from food tech @ st matts yet, so we just headed over to the field... Yeah...
Wow... uneventful, (though still good) day today... Gabi and Bevan sat next to each other... Had final assembly... History was sooo funny. Had Mr Barr. We played hangman and exchanged movies on our computers the WHOLE lesson. It was awesome. I got four new movies from Georgia, but only one was iPod formatted. Am converting the other three now. Chilling with Meka now...
Pictures of Japanese work, the date written in whiteboard marker on plastic, Rose and Anna, and the Japanese tally system that records mine and Anna's vocabulary victory (on the right in red) are included. Aswell as those, there is a picture that I took last night when I was feeling particularly peaceful and snap-happy. Am currently heading on to language perfect to kick butt. Have completed all the lists... Now I have to do different formats, like spoken to written, spoken and written english to japanese text, and spoken japanese to japanese text.

It's a damn shame...
Kate just informed me that we're having a dorm party tomorrow night. It's a shame that I have neither money nor food to contribute to it...
Just thought of my favourite teacher quote of all time, Mrs Barton: "When you go to Nice, because of course you'll go to Nice, why wouldn't you go to Nice? Nice is Nice."
Note italicizing if nice at the end. This one is pronounced nice, like the word that it is, and all the others are pronounced as neece, for those who weren't aware of this. It was sooo funny at the time, but I guess it was a "you had to be there" moment... It happened in History last year.

I'm actually quite surprised at the way people act, and how hypocritical they are. I decided this during maths today. I genuinely didn't understand how to do the question, and O was a total b***h about it. R was quite s****y too. O was like: "Shut up, Paige" in a real b****y tone. Well f**k you too. But seriously, she complained that **** was laughing at "dumb" people, eg someone who is trying to understand but can't, but she does the same thing, except minus the laughing and plus the b****iness and attitude. Then she gives the closest person the "OMG, I can't believe he/she's so dumb" look. Just get over it, not everyone thinks like you (fortunately). People's brains are all wired differently, O, and they don't all compute the same things at the same level. Jesus Christ. Still listening to ice box by Omarion...
Just had dinner, vegetable crepes. Not my favourite thang. But I suppose when you go to a boarding school you expect crap food. I did. School food sucks. ALL THE TIME. I have prep in 20 minutes... I don't need to do anythang urgently. History internal is due in like, four weeks. I've made a good head start on it too. I have two weeks of class time for it and two weeks of holiday time. Ages. I'm reading Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead now. Recommend it; they're my favourite books EVER. A picture of the series (five books, four have been released so far and the fifth is coming out in May, with the sixth not having a cover yet) is in the post below. I'm excited for Spirit Bound's release... I'm listening to Ice Box by Omarion right now...
Today I had: Classics, Bio, DOUBLE MATHS, History and Japanese. Classics was sooo funny . We had a class discussion on racism, and we decided that Rathole is reaaallly racist. We also decided that I lead the class of on random topics by using my gifts of distraction. Bio was cool, and we talked about what we'd do if we were stranded at sea. Apparently to survive for awhile we'd have to drink the bodily fluids of fish and stuff. Ew. But not sharks, which is just as well as I wouldn't go near one anyway. Maths sucked because I had no clue how to do the trig stuff, and Olivia and Rose got sh*tty with me, even though Mrs Du Cann was being reaaallly patient, for once. History was cool, with Jonty grilling Olivia, and me doing some more work. We had Mr Barr, who is the COOLEST reliever EVER. Japanese was funny because we played kanji snap, with my team losing by a few points. The rest of Jap passed pretty weirdly, because none of us really listened... Hmmm... Maybe should work on that. I don't have maths until next term! Yay! :)
OMG!!!
OMG Gabi and Bevan got together today! :) Eillish and I spent all of lunchtime trying to get them alone so that he could ask her, but people were always there. But at the end of lunch we ditched them and he asked her!!! OMG!!! So excited! It's adorable! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! Have been speaking in a high pitched voice for about half an hour... OMG!!!

The bus ride back to school was fairly uneventful, with me listening to my iPod. Victoria came to sit by me when someone was carsick and needed her seat. Finally convinced people that I do listen to normal music, not emo s**t. Passed a happy few minutes listening to glee and lady gaga. Then when we got back to school we had to unpack the entire back of the bus to get the girls' bags out, because we didn't do as we were told and put them in last. To be fair, we had already put them on before they told us that. Mine was at the VERY back, of course. Once back at school I had a joyful reunion with my laptop, which I took over to hampton and spent some blissful time on language perfect, perfecting my japanese *cough*. In reality, I learnt next to nothing and will need many more years of practice. I had dinner, which was nice as Liz prepared something for me in case I came, seeing as I hadn't booked a meal. Desert was ice cream and chocolate mousse. Yum. I then returned to my room for a short period of time before deciding that I stunk and needed a shower. That was one goddamn amazing shower. Then I headed over to hampton, before nicking a bottle of milk and returning to my room. I then put banana nesquik in said bottle of milk and sat down to write a blog. For lack of inspiration, this blog became Banana Milkshakes, and the rest is history! :)
I crashed straight after duties, with my cabin-mates Stevie and Alex already doing so. Danielle and Emma came in and made one hell of a racket, which called for the (probably anticipated) "shut up!" Like the night before, it didn't take long for sleep to find me.
The next day started in much the same fashion, with the addition of Mrs Vundy coming into our cabins and blowing a whistle as our wake up call. Her cackle of glee could be heard from miles away. Gee, thanks. Breakfast was the same as Saturday. White bread. Ugh. Peanut butter. Yay! It was too wet for us to waste heat and energy with an outside activity, so we huddled in the meeting room and played a game to help us understand the stock market. It wasn't as bad as it may sound. Sparing all the details, our team came second on $1600, when we started with $300. Jonty's group kicked everyone's arse, with them ending on $6900. He does take level 3 eco though, so we weren't too bummed. Next we had "The Amazing Race." This was essentially a Camp Kaitoke version of the real thing, with clues, "money," "planes, buses" and detours. The detour was a riddle and the planes and buses were teachers and Harry (the Rathkeale tutor) taking us to the place that we needed to go. The downside of the "transport"? We had to sing the whole way, otherwise they stopped. We stuck to the alphabet and twinkle twinkle little star. Our team came fourth, with Olivia getting us out of the final task, archery, early, with a hit earning us 30 points when we had to get 100 as a team to leave. Nice work :). After this we returned to our cabins for showers and to get our stuff to take to the bus. We said thank you to the instructors and left, sore muscles and high spirits, to return to home and school.

Time and Date On This Blog
The time and date on this blog are completely off the mark. For example, right now it's 7:52pm on Monday the 29th of March
After an AMAZING shower, we got going, prepared to find symbols on little blocks of wood. Taylor had the map, and while we were skeptical of his skills, he did lead us in the right direction once we figured out which symbols we were looking for. We walked through the horse paddock, and Natalie FREAKED. She's terrified of horses. It was actually pretty funny. After we completet this, we returned to the dining room for afternoon tea, and my duty group was on, well, er, duty. So I took care of the cups and stuff, which wasn't that bad. We worked out how to use the sterilizer, which admittedly wasn't hard. Later we had downtime and dinner. Downtime consisted of watching Avatar on my iPod, and talking to people who talked to me. Dinner wasn't great, but I did eat it. After this we had a "talent quest" where we competed in out duty groups. Mine included Victoria, Becca, Matt, Matt, Eillish, Me, Lucy V, and Jane. We couldn't agree on what to do until like, two minutes before we actually performed. Not even two minutes before we went inside and watched and waited, but before we actually performed. I did the music, Victoria, Matt (x2), Lucy, Eillish and Jane did the hand thing where you have someone at the back putting their hands through the arms of the other person, and Becca did a dance. Unfortunately they wanted me to play the worst song ever made: Tik Tok. I did, grudgingly. It went quite well I have to say, with Becca being the highlight of the group by miles. We did disappoint Victoria a lot, as she had been looking forward to it all day. We should have worked her singing into it somehow, as she is REALLY good. But what is done is done. Sorry, Vic. We came second to last, then it was supper time. Our duty group was on again. Victoria, Eillish and I did most of the work, and we were excused from the next day's duties. Hell-to-the-yes! :)
Then Harvey and Jane paddled up to me. Each grabbing a side or the kayak, they proceeded to press down one after the other, so that my kayak was rocking quite severely. Luckily I was kneeling at the time, and by simply swaying in the opposite direction of the person pushing down, I stayed upright. Unluckily, Harvey wasn't having any of this, and he simply jumped out of his kayak onto mine and capsized me. I, being the tourettes wannabe that I am, promptly started screaming obscenities. Flipping the kayak back up the way that it's supposed to be, I clambered back in and attempted revenge, which only saw me being flipped again. I gave up at this point, and continued with the kayaking. At the end our instructor announced that we were going to play a game called "first to capsize Harvey." Someone promptly did so, and we cheered with great enthusiasm. On the way back in, Harvey once again capsized me, and, being the equal opportunity gal that I am, simply grabbed his kayak from in the water and returned the favour. He, in return pushed my kayak away from me, and was rewarded with a fresh bout of potty mouth. I retrieved my kayak and attempted to return to shore, where he pushed me out again. Luckily I held onto the "wharf" and managed to get in without too much trouble. Next we had orienteering.
We then built a fire (supervised, of course), which our resident pyro (Matt) thoroughly enjoyed. Next we had art. This didn't go so well, with our reconstructions of a painting not looking so flash. (Every person on camp painted one hundredth of a painting, so that the pieces could be put together and create a huge paining. However, our team canvas with our team name in it was amazing. We used stencils to create a brick effect with smoke covering it, then our resident tagger (again, Matt) wrote WTF! in vivid. It doesn't sound that cool when explained, but if I had a photo (which, unfortunately, I don't) you would understand why we were so proud of it. The teachers agreed that it was the best, and we left rotation 4 pleases with ourselves. Next, kayaking, which I had been looking forward to since the tramp, which was when I heard about it. We made our way to the lake (where the previous day we had "built" our pontoon) and stumbled into our sea kayaks. The water was freezing, but we soon discovered that that wasn't our biggest problem. BLOODY HARVEY MASON kept capsizing people! Jane (Spade) went in about 15 times! I went in three times, but I'll tell more soon. We had to paddle across the lake with no paddles, then either kneel or stand to get there and back. Sitting= 0 points, kneeling= 1 point and standing= 2 points. (Team points for the team competition) I managed to stand for a bit, but decided that falling out wasn't particularly desirable.
On Saturday, it was a bright and early start with us getting up at about 7:00. (This is actually earlier than I usually rise by about a half hour, but I don't do a three-hour tramp every day do I?) Anyway, I digress. We were up, dressed and ready to eat at eight. I ravenously wolfed down two slices of peanut buttered toast. White bread. Ew. After this my group had survival. The other groups who had done this the day before delightedly informed our aching muscles that this rotation involved another tramp. Awesome news, guys! NOT! However, Paddy had rolled his ankle, and our instructor took pity on us as it was early in the morning and because we were in pain. Oh, and the fact that Paddy was limping. So we walked into the bush and after about two minutes she stopped. We were then told that we had a scenario to work with, and that we had to treat it as though it was real: we were tramping through the bush. We'd just spoken to the ranger, who had headed up in the opposite direction of that in which we were heading. We planned to walk twenty kilometres today, which all up should take about eight hours. She also told Taylor that he was "guide number two," due to us voting him the loudest. With this in mind, we walked for a further five minutes, whereupon our instructor stopped and informed us that she had been struck by severe food poisoning and was violently ill. She was running a fever and was floating in and out of consciousness. Taylor ("guide number two") had climbed a tree to get cellphone reception but had fallen out, landing face-first on a log and losing consciousness. Outstanding. We now have to work as a team and decide what to do. We struggled just a tad. We covered Taylor with a survival blanket, bandaged his head and popped on a beanie. We raided her pack found the first aid kit. I'll spare you all the boring details, but we erected a shelter and found firewood too. Unfortunately we should have been grilling our semi-unconscious guide number one for information. We should have sent off our two fittest for help (cellphone reception was just five kilometres away). However, we did score a semi-respectable 13 out of 20.

Title:
The title of this blog is because I am currently drinking a banana milkshake for lack of another flavour. I prefer chocolate and caramel.
We then proceeded to play a game called "capture the flag" outside. This involved hiding our flags and trying to find the other teams' while trying to tag other teams and protect our flag. I was fine in the first round, but Charlotte got me in the second round. Then, when I was freed, I attempted to hunt her down. Upon finding that she was hunting in a pack, I continued in my quest for vengeance and promptly found myself tagged by Jock. Damn. On the plus side, we didn't lose our flag but managed to get another team's flag, coincidentally Charlotte's team's. Haha. Then it was straight to bed for me; I was out like a light at 9:15.
Year 12 Camp 2010
OMG camp was awesome! However, they told us that we would start with a two and a half hour tramp that was mostly downhill from the summit of the Rimutaka ranges down to Camp Kaitoke. Haha. Two hours after we started we were still walking uphill. Very funny, guys. The tramp was really three hours long, but that didn't matter. Near the end they put Jacob Warren at the front as leader, and he led us astray by taking us too far down one hill. So the chant of "Jacob's a homo *clap clap, clap clap clap*" started and lasted for awhile. The real fun started once we reached the camp. Straight into activities. First we found our duty and activity groups. My activity group was: Me, Olivia, Stevie, Jordan, Natalie, Jane, Matt, Harvey, Paddy, Jesse, and Taylor. Man was that a funny group. We started with tyrolean, which is making a rope bridge across a ditch between two trees. So we tied the ropes and most of us safely crossed the bridge, with the exception of Jordan, Stevie and Natalie?, who chose not to cross. Next we had pontoon, which involved building a BRIDGE, not BOAT across a small stretch of water using two kayaks, rope, planks of woof and a bucket. We failed epically, and every singloe person (except Taylor because he has a broken arm and can't get his cast wet) fell in an got drenched. It was amazing. Olivia slipped down a section of the bank leading into the water about ten times, therefore earning her the name "unco." Later we ate and had a short period of downtime, before heading to the meeting room for an, umm, meeting. During this meeting we chose our team name, made a flag, and created a chant. Our team name was WTF: Way Too Fast. Our flag failed, and our chant was pathetic, to say the least. It went like this: "It's blue in here, there must be some WTF in the hood. Say what? Hoo!
